Semiconductor Memory Architectures, especially Systems using Nonvolatile Memory

Past Initiatives and Thoughts for the Future

Since joining the company, I have been ambitiously engaged in R&D that anticipates the future based on semiconductor technology trends and industry trends, and have realized the proposal, development, and commercialization of a random number generation semiconductor for information security, involving the business units. Furthermore, we have received an award for our R&D of 3D memory called HBM (High Bandwidth Memory), which is used for AI, and for our industry-leading proposal of a control system. In addition, we are leading the industry in R&D of an embedded magnetic memory MRAM used in edge IoT and other applications, and are influencing the MRAM market trend. We will continue to contribute to the R&D of new memory applications and systems at Kioxia and will work with young researchers to develop new memory markets.
