Area of Expertise

R&D of Wireless / Wireline Transceiver ICs, Semiconductor Device Modeling

Past Initiatives and Thoughts for the Future

When I joined the company, cell phones were becoming popular, I have been engaged mainly in R&D of wireless / wireline transceiver ICs. At that time, it was not common to design high-frequency circuits in the GHz band using silicon processes. I feel that the wide range of experience I acquired in youth, from device modeling to high-frequency probing techniques, was a major source for my later career. Currently, I am working on R&D of optical communications, leaving behind the electric communications I have been engaged. I believe that to continuously create new technologies for the future, it is necessary for many talented engineers to passionately engage in R&D from their own unique perspectives.
